Henna Kotilainen joins Vuono Group

Henna Kotilainen joins Vuono Group as a Full Stack Developer from TietoEvry.

Henna is a full-stack developer with an academic background in bioinformation technology and computer science at Aalto University, minoring in software and service engineering. She joined Vuono Group from TietoEvry where she worked as a software developer focusing especially on Python.

While working at Vuono Group, Henna is finishing her studies and writing her Master’s thesis in Human Computer Interaction. She is especially interested in usability, interaction design and user research.

“I wanted to work for a small and agile company. I figured that the flat organisational structure at Vuono Group would allow me to learn a lot in a short period of time. After a number of months here, I think I’ve made the right choice!” Henna says.

The best part about her job as a software developer is to build something tangible and to see the results of her own work become a reality. In addition, Henna enjoys working with software development problems that offer continuous learning opportunities. Henna thinks that one is never quite ready, and that there is always room for improvement in her job.

“We are glad to have young and talented people in our team. Henna will not only strengthen our Python knowledge, but her skills acquired in various roles in the student community are a valuable asset going forward,” says Teemu Moisala, Founder at Vuono Group.

Outside of work and studies, Henna enjoys playing board games with friends and teaching new tricks to her cat. Volunteering for her student association Inkubio is another rewarding pastime activity.
