Markus has over 20 years of experience in developing robust, scalable, and reliable software. He has worked in various industries ranging from gaming to fintech. He has worn many hats, including being a programmer, technology consultant, development coach, team lead, and CTO.
In the end, a good quality backend is the backbone of any successful software service, and this is where Markus´s passion lies. As a hobby, he maintains multiple open source projects and hosts this popular backend technology-related podcast.

Ykä has 18 years of experience in software development. Currently, he is leading the development of DIAS — a digital trading platform for the residential real estate market. Previously, he worked as a principal consultant and head of technology at Futurice. He’s a jack of many trades: a programmer, architect, project lead, coach, facilitator and advisor.
Besides all things related to programming, Ykä’s hobbies include podcasting, climbing, early music and family life.
